REGISTRATION OF LNQ PROGRAMS PROCEDURE

APPLICATION PROCESS FOR NON-NQF LEARNING PROGRAMMES

Providers interested in submitting their non-NQF learning programmes complete the application for ‘Extension of scope to offer Non-NQF learning programmes’ and submit it with your learning programme, Purpose, Admissions criteria (including prior learning if applicable), A range statement, Outcomes and assessment criteria to the IWH Professional Body CEO.

The outcomes of the LNQ Programme must be tabled before the Skills and Ratification Committee for approval. This will not be applicable for existing LNQ programme outcomes (for existing outcomes follow steps i & v – ix)

The IWH Professional Body CEO/QMD will notify the Provider of the outcome. In the event that the S & R Committee approves the outcomes, the Provider will also be notified that they can now develop their programme material.

If the outcomes are not approved by the S & R Committee, a report detailing remedial action or the reason for the disapproval will be supplied by the committee.

The Provider must submit the learning material in hard copy to the IWH Professional Body CEO/QMD, for perusal by the SME nominated by the CEO/QMD.

In the event that a site audit must be done, an invoice for the site audit will now be issued. After payment of the invoice, the site audit will be arranged.

The successful site audit report if applicable, together with the approved learning programme material will be submitted to the Skills and Ratification Committee for final approval. And the relevant Chamber Chair will be notified of the registration of this LNQ programme.

If the material and the site in the event of an audit is not approved by the S & R Committee, a report detailing remedial action or the reason for the disapproval will be supplied by the committee.

The Provider will be notified of the outcome. If the outcome was successful the Professional Body CEO/QMD will assign a programme number and will register this programme on the BMS. The Provider will also be notified of the programme number, and they will now be allowed to start the training on this programme and upload their learners.

IWH Professional Body CEO/PA captures the Programme name and number on a register.

APPLICATION PROCESS FOR PRODUCT SPECIFIC NON-NQF LEARNING PROGRAMMES

Providers interested in submitting their Product specific non-NQF learning programmes complete the application for ‘Extension of scope to offer Non-NQF learning programmes’ and submit it with your learning programme (Purpose, Admissions Criteria (including prior learning if applicable), A range statement, Outcomes and assessment criteria) to the IWH Professional Body CEO.

The outcomes of the Programme must be evaluated and approved internally by the CEO and QMD. (Taking into consideration prior learning and product standards)

The CEO will notify the Provider of the outcome of the evaluation, if successful the CEO / QMD will provide the Provider with a LNQ registration number.

IWH Professional Body CEO captures the Programme name and number on a register and adds the programme to the provider profile on the BMS, the Provider can start training on this Programme.

If the outcomes are not approved, a report detailing remedial action or the reason for the disapproval will be supplied.

The Provider can now continue developing the Learning Material and start training on these programmes and upload their learners.

The Skills and Ratification Committee as well as the relevant Chamber Chair must now be notified of the registration of the LNQ programme.

CERTIFICATION OF PRACTITIONERS

Uploads of practitioners qualifying for Non-NQF learning programmes will be done in the same manner as with other Work at Height programmes. The programme details will be on the BMS for selection. One exception is that a photo will not be uploaded for Non-NQF programmes.

The IWH Prof Body will issue invoices for the amount as determined by the Finance Committee per learner. Certificates will be forwarded to the recognised provider for distribution.

Practitioners will receive IWH certificate and an ID card / license to operate. The registration against this programme will be valid for a period of 3 years.
